This course provides guidelines for best practice in the delivery of Oxygen in Community Settings and in the Suctioning of people who require it in a safe effective approach. It outlines the various routes and purposes and possible complications of suctioning and supports best practice for Oral, Nasopharyngeal, Oropharyngeal routes for suction therapy. It discusses Oxygen delivery and monitoring with a focus on safety. It looks at the various delivery devices and highlights risk management and the health and safety aspects surrounding Oxygen Delivery.




Aims of Course

The aim of this course is to enable healthcare staff to develop skills in the safe delivery of Oxygen in the Community settings where they work and to facilitate suctioning of their clients effectively using best practice guidelines.
