This Course provides a comprehensive overview of the National Restraint Policy and guides it's use in Residential Care Settings. It outlines the Policy, Procedure and the Guidelines for Restraint in Ireland taking into consideration International Guidelines, Human Rights and Civil Liberties. It explores the concept of Restrictive Practice in Care Settings.
Aims of Course
This course aims to give participants a fremework in which to use the National Restraint Policy whilst adhering to best practice guidelines and directives from the significant regulatory authorities

On completion of this course you will have a comprehensive understanding of The National Restraint Policy and will be able to apply it in your care setting and have a knowledge of restrictive practice and how to avoid it in care of vulnerable persons.
