Overview of Course
This course will provide you with the practical and possible life-saving skills to deal with an emergency situation. Focus is on the essential elements of first aid and life-saving skills. Content includes Scene and patient assessment. Recognising and treatment of choking. Overview of CPR and AED but this is not recognised CPR Training unless you attend an additional practical session live to practice and demonstrate the required skills. This course also covers recognising and treating stroke and heart attack. Treatment of fractures, spinal injuries, sprains and strains. Treatment for shock and poisoning. How to treat and bandage wounds and other injuries. Recognising and treating concussion and compression.
Aims of Course
This course aims to assist you to prevent further deterioration. preserve life and promote recovery in emergency situations until professional help arrives.
